THE GOLDEN BOND OF THE CHRYSANTHEMUM

Firstly cultivated in China in the 15th century, cherished so much across both China and Japan that a special day named “festival of happiness” has been dedicated to celebrate its uniqueness and symbolism. Coined from the Greek words “chyros” (gold) and “anthemion” (flower) which literally means a gold flower.



When I see a mums I think of the concept of “a life well lived” which means one that was enjoyed and impactful. A human with the ability to live life well and not just exist must be one who is consistently evolving, watered properly, surrounded by the best people and receiving positive energy.

As humans vary differently in ethnicity and race, so those chrysanthemum also flower over 30 species with different colors which depicts different meaning but collectively they represent FREINDSHIP, HONESTY AND HAPPINESS.




No matter how peculiar and distinct we are we still need the bond of friendship; pure, honest and happy friendship that makes the heart leap for joy. We are like a flower in a garden and if you see a sky view of a garden you can spot a withering flower; also when you see a garden filled with flowers that are all blooming and flowering, its gives a picture of collective beauty which impels joy, that is how we are. Gaze at your circle of friends and reckon on how impactful, fruitful and elevating they have been for you this year. Evaluate their inputs from January till now, the dynamics and the trajectory of your friendship; are they people who would make you flower? Also, collectively when you pay ATTENTION to them, how thrilled are you about the fruits they bear, the beauty and joy they inspire and the footprints they are leaving on earth.



FRIENDSHIP is a flower of Gold just like a chrysanthemum and no matter the species its soothes a heart left to desolation, spurs abundance , loveliness and fuels the bond that inspires cheerfulness even in adversity, a garden of reliable bed of flowers that promotes positive mental health and wealth. Tell that friend that is GENINUE, honest and makes your heart leap for joy “I LOVE YOU” “I AM THANKFUL FOR YOU”.



It’s almost the end of the 2024 and if you know true friendship has been a part of what kept you sane this year and made you break grounds on so many levels, take a little moment and appreciate your tribe and if not so, also take a little moment to evaluate your tribe. The book of proverbs 27:9 says (a sweet friendship refreshes the soul). So ask yourself, DOES YOUR FRIENDSHIP REFRESH YOUR SOUL?

I am thankful for my tribe, we are far from perfect but we make it work.
